Little Dalty's Story

Dalton James Hunker was born on January 14, 2004 in Sterling, Colorado. Dalton was a very happy child. From the day he was born, he always had a smile on his face and laughed as life brought him such joy. Dalton brought a smile to everyone's face with his sheepish grin and bright blue eyes. He could make anyone laugh with his funny faces and hysterical comments. He loved everyone he came in contact with, and of course his baby, and was always up to making new friends. Dalton was a very inquisitive and adventerous little boy with a drive to always do more, see more and be more. He was an outdoors kid. He loved camping, fishing, riding ATV's, watching racecars and monster trucks and loved anything that had a motor. He enjoyed all the time he had with his 4 brothers as he kept them all on the go. Dalton was a very bright child. He was wise beyond his years and thrived from the knowledge he obtained. In a nutshell, Dalton was the PERFECT child!!

On April 15, 2007, during a family BBQ, little 3 year old Dalton fell into a septic tank and drown on his grandfather's farm in Peetz, Colorado. His body has left this earth, but his spirit and soul remain in the hearts of many. Dalton's love for HIS people and life will be forever remembered and honored by all who love him!! We miss you and love you very much Dalty!

His legacy
Tiny Angel

Tiny Angel rest your wings,
Sit with me for awhile.
How I long to hold your hand,
And see your tender smile.
Tiny Angel, look at me,
I want this image clear...
That I will forget your precious face,
Is my biggest fear.
Tiny Angel can you tell me,
Why you have gone away?
You weren't here for very long...
Why is it, you couldn't stay?
Tiny Angel shook his head,
"These things I do not know...
But I do know that you love me,
And that I love you so."
